If anyone's interested in a replacement for the aging leather cases of old TLRs, I found something which may be able to fill a similar role.

The internal dimensions are about 4x4x6 inches, just slightly more than what an Autocord needs. The TLR's own straps could fit through the dual zippers if desired, making it unnecessary to have a strap for the bag itself. There's a snap at the top so the bag can be closed without fully zipping. You could have a carabiner attached to the bag, quickly unzip the bag from your TLR, clip it to your belt loop and start taking shots.

Here is a link to the product. I have no financial ties with them. It can be found more cheaply through other sellers.

Looks good! If only for carrying, going inside another bag, etc. Although you might be able to trim the front flap attachement, add a plate and 1/4-20 screw at the bottom, and have an updated ever-ready case.

have an updated ever-ready case.

I was thinking about that too, although it might need something extra to keep the camera from tipping forward in the soft shell. I'll try to see if that's feasible once I have it in my hands.

Looks nice. I'm using a Nova Micro from time to time, which is fine also. But this one, although I'd have hard time justifying it looks better

Here's an update.

The TLR fits fine without cutting anything. There's some inner velcro attachments you can detach that allow you to collapse the inner pouches and tuck them away. You could still use them for something thin like a filter or cable release. Then you put the camera in front of them. There's no problem using the straps from the camera to suspend the bag. When you are ready to use the camera, you just tear the bag away by the double zipper and your TLR is hanging free from its strap.

Mine is the later Autocord with light meter on top which prevents me from snapping it shut at the top. I suspect the early Autocords and other meterless TLRs would be able to close that snap. It isn't a big deal regardless.

@blee1996 There is one external pocket visible in the last image, around the size of a pants pocket. It's made of stretchy material. It would fit some filters or film rolls.

Great news. Turns out that friction is easily enough to keep the case from falling when you unzip it.

So it can be used like an ever-ready case. Winding the film with it is not that bad either.
