Did B/W printing in the past and now setting up for first time film developing hence another Newbe Question:

Re. mixing dev stop and fix quantities I get a bit confused as the tank supplier Paterson indicates a 290ml fill up quantity and info for mixing is indicated in many ways in a 300ml quantity for dev, stop and fix, even in Ilford brochures.

Do you fill up as the tank supplier prescribes or do you round up to 300ml?

Just use the 300ml, much easier than reducing the proportions 10%.

Provided it doesn't result in overfilling your tank, there is no harm in mixing up a larger more convenient amount.

Hi many thanks for your quick replies.
I will test the tank with 300ml H2O on overfilling.
I will mix to 300ml subs. when everything is ok.
