Mixing and using Germain's Fine Grain Developer AKA 777

I have been intrigued by all I have read about Harvey's 777 devloper and just received the ingredients to make it. I am wondering if there are any tricks to mixing it and also using it. I understand that the water needs to be quite hot, is there anything else I should know? Am I also correct that it likes reduced agitation, maybe even stand development? I know it's panthermic, but does it have a favorite temperature? These are enough questions I think, please feel free to tell me anything I've missed. BTW I'll be using 4x5 FP4 and enlarging. Thanks

Keep in mind that the formula given in the article on the unblinkingeye.com site, is not the same as the original Harvey's 777, which is not public.

As you said the formula listed on the site is for Germain''s.

If you want the genuine article you can by it as a powder from the Frugalphotographer, in a 1 gallon pack.
