Not too much discussion about the Mint TL70 plus camera. I just received a used one with the ND and close up lens set for fairly cheap.

The seller did say that she was having a problem with it indicating the exposures left, I'm guessing this means I'll get to waste one here and there if it resets. Anyone experience this problem and know of a fix?

Getting a little bit of time to fool with this camera... ND2 and sunny f16 mostly works, since the shutter is either 1/500 or 1/250, I probably should have used f11 to bring up the dark areas, but highlights are good. Details are better than I've seen for the most Fuji mini cameras that we have used, not film like sharp, but OK.

I'm seeing the these really need D50 lighting when viewing, looking at them in sunlight is far better than household lighting. No real surprise here, but worth mentioning.

If I get anything worth sharing, I'll have to grab a capture and post it.

The only real gripe I have with this camera is the focus mechanism. It has a large dead spot in the controls, rocking back and forth to check focus uses a larger amount of motion. Not sure if I'll open the camera up to see if I can take some lash out of the gears, but it does bug me.

Minor bug is that the cap can not be fit when an ND or close up is in place. This is something I'll have to keep in mind when out and about, just about every sunny outdoor image needs at least the ND2.

just about every sunny outdoor image needs at least the ND2.

Seems like a significant design oversight, making a camera that will only ever get ISO 800 film, but that needs an add-on filter to shoot ISO 800 in full sun...

Oh, it certainly is an issue. A 1/1000 speed would have been nice.

I also wish they would make some slower films with fined grain and fine developers, even just down to asa200.

Did a scan off my multifunction printer, not great but gets the job done for now.

Exposure was good for the highlights, but could have used a bit longer to grab the shadows which mostly went to mud. Should have gone to at least f11 or I need to start rating this at film at 400. Balancing the limited dynamic range is going to prove a task.

Beware the auto exposure setting. Cloudy so roughly f8 at 1/250, think I opened up to f6.7 but forgot it was in auto... Heard the click/clack of a slow shutter and knew what the result was going to be.

I have a few other images from the day with my grand daughter, some were OK, some less than stellar. I'm thinking the focus lens is not at the same point as the taking lens. I'll have to figure out how to keep the shutter open so I can check this. I have a collimating tool that I can shine into lenses to check infinity.

Need to get a better scanner, my Canon MF753cdw is pretty poor at this, seems to be designed for documents only. And the software interface is HORRIBLE!
