Mint RF70 Scam?

Hi!

I found a Mint RF70 on Mercari that is pretty cheap. However, the seller can not answer any of my questions about why the camera is defective. Does the community agree with me that this is a scam? See below for my conversation and the posting. For context I fix cameras, and I’m not too worried that this one is defective, I’m more worried about the seller. The seller has 96 5 star reviews, so I’m not sure what to think about all of this.

It doesn't matter if it's a scam or not - if it's not confirmed working, why would anyone buy it?

I would purchase it to fix it, as I fix cameras.

Is there even a lens?

This looks like the item that was sold on 10/10/2025 for $265 then, presumably, returned: it's the same photo. I'd be interested to know if the camera that went out in that box was the same one that was returned in that box: lots of things can happen with returns. You looked at the seller's eclectic selling history, right?
