The meter appears to be TKO.
I was wondering if I could use the depth of field button to step the lens down to achieve a correct exposure?

I believe the SRT201 is very similar to the SRT101. If my memory recalls the SRT 201 had some flash syc features on the shoe.

Light meter doesn't control the f stop.

That's mechanical and it's activated during exposure.

DOF preview on the lens is to examine what the film will record during exposure relative to depth of field.

I had an SRT101 and used it for weddings in the early 1970's.

I have used a sr-T101 for years with an inoperable light meter. Beauty about these things being completely mechanical otherwise. I love'm.

I have both and I consider them exceptional. Minolta glass is great. I use a Hand Held Meter.
