So I got this X500 in the mail today it didn't fire so fixed that problem, I decided and take the top cover off to see how hard it is to clean the prism, on reassembly the screw of the front plate with the Minolta logo bounced off the mirror and was lost in the BLACK HOLE after shaking the camera a bit the screw came back to light.....I thought that's it...

You’re lucky it fell in the camera. Mine always hit the floor and bounce into oblivion! :D

Seriously though, I’m glad it worked out for you.

I have a magnetic pick up tool, (mine came from Princess Auto) which has helped with screws dropped on the carpet a couple of times. Have to be steel screws.
