Minolta Dynax 9xi LCD

I have recently purchased Minolta 9xi. Excellent body! Just one question: It´s LCD, unlike the Dynax´s 600 si, shows the film-cartridge mark and frame counter even if the main switch is in the LOCK position. Does it somehow affect battery life and wouldn´t be better to remove the battery when not using the camera to reduce the energy consumption?

It does not affect the battery life. I keep the battery always in.
