So, that knob is useless for any sort of calibrating...hmmmm. Looks like there's no where to do any adjusting on this meter at all. I did checkout those resistors and they were spot on. They were 10K resistors and both read well within tolerance at 9.95K ohms.

Not sure I should tell you this: the adjustments are under the metal plate on the back. IIRC, I think there are three and I don't recall each of their functions. Might be some info on the web.

You know, I had a feeling that was the case but didn't want to check as without some sort of instructions it would have been a crap shoot as to which ones did what. I noticed after I sent it back this afternoon that KEH has another one of these so I emailed them and asked for a swap instead of a return hoping I'd have better luck with that one.

I already had gotten the manual and reflective light attachment so, without the meter they were useless. I tried googling for the service manual for the Autometer III but turned up nothing.

but if I remember correctly the adjustment is for less than 1 stop and it's not meant for calibration.

the meter I had returned today started acting crazy. Yesterday I almost had it within 1/2-1 stop of being right one but today it wouldn't come off the f2 stop regardless where I pointed it or whether I was in sun or shade. It was at that point I decided it needed to go back.

I pointed the dome right at the sun on ASA 100 and it read 100 at f2.

I'll update the theme with hope that someone has determined which of this resister is for.
Got my AMIII wrong by 0.5-1 stop in comparison with Sekonik L-608 and soviet Sverdlovsk-4, that both give the same result with a white sphere.
