((something to spruce up many Autocords: take some 320/400 grit sandpaper to the AUTOCORD logo. Light touch, horizontal motion, will take off the tarnish and get it back to smooth aluminum. The orginal is slightly brushed as it is, so no need to go for a true polish, just rebrush it and remove the dirt and tarnish.(Rolleis, use 600 grit))

I picked up my first Autocord last Spring. Local had it for sale on FB Marketplace. I met up with him, and he said that he was the second owner, but he's had the camera since the early 70's... hadn't put a roll of film through it in 30 years. It came with the brown leather case, and was in great condition. Previous to that, I had purchased and used a Rolleiflex 3.5B, and I thought the images were ok. I put a roll of film through that first Autocord, went walking outside to test how it shot. I was amazed by the sharpness of the images! Here's a collage I put together of that first roll of film... all shot without a tripod. Needless to say, I was hooked on Autocords.

I do sometimes think having a Hasselblad adjustable chimney might be fun but these cameras are so nice, as is, that'll just be guilding the Lily.

Consider it gilded?
