Minimising reflections in prints framed behind glass

I gave up the glass years ago. We don't put our paintings or etchings behind glass, so why photographic prints? I also exhibit this way.

I haven’t managed to resolve my problem yet, chiefly because the wiring in that part our house is really difficult to access.

Glassless display may be workable if you live in sufficiently sterile conditions, but glass is mandatory here. We live in a rural location and any unprotected print would be dotted with fly spits and thunder bugs within a few weeks.

Many paintings and especially etchings are kept behind glass. How do you think the eco-terrorists who threw oil on a Van Gogh didn't do any damage to it?

If my work was as valuable and precious, I might I personally do not put my drawings, paintings, etchings behind glass. Same with my photos. It's a personal choice.

What about those eco demonstrators throwing ketchup and cans of soup on famous painting in museums? They probably walk out of the police office with a misdemeanor vandalism charge only due to glass in front of those painting, and the a nuisance cleanup. Without the glass, would even they want to be responsible for marring something worth fifty million bucks?

It's not so dusty here. Not an issue. Maybe it is where you are.

See if a polarizer removes the reflections. Also move the light sources around.

I use museum glass that also blocks UV light to stop fading.
