Earlier I noticed my Palladium emulsion mix was a little milky, Chocolate milk. I didn't think much of it, until I was sucking up some sodium cholopalladite and it was the source of the milkyness. It happens to be last 15mls for a 100ml bottle. I sucked some out of a new bottle and it isn't milky...

What is the milkyness??

Thank You In Advance

Cloudy?

maybe cloudy might be a better description.

The PD solutioun didn't have the clear quality...

Any one know what this could be, the bottle was like 5 months old...

Thanks,

Corey

Hard to say exactly what it might be. It should be a clear (not cloudy) dark reddish brown. It may be contamination of some sort. Did you mix it yourself or buy it already mixed?

It is also possible that your solution is oversaturated, I guess. Try adding a few drops of distilled water to it and shake it and let it rest.

I have bottles of this stuff that I have had for six years, and it is still clear.

Thanks Clay.

I spoke with Dana Sullivan today and he thought maybe something was settling out and offered to filter it for me... We talked but didn't come up with anything solid. I used all the solution in that bottle and am onto a new bottle, so I guess it is history.

But it is puzzling to me... I'd swear that that the 3ml's I drew out of my new bottle wasn't quite clear(after I shook up the bottle), just a little thick, not quite cloudy/milky, but not quite clear... maybe I'm paranoid, maybe...

My whole reason for this is I was experiencing a little bit of fogging on my clean white borders...and realized that my mix was milky/cloudy, and then drew some palladium from a new bottle and it wasn't...

Any additional thoughts are appreciated,

Corey

B&S are really very good about helping you deal with problems like this. I had some platinum solution that I had bought from them that had red platinum crystals precipitating out of solution on the bottom of the bottle. They took it back and and either fixed it or sent me new solution. No problem at all. I'm glad I bought a fair amount of this platinum metal solution back 2-3 years ago, though. Have you seen what platinum prices are lately? Wow.

Thanks Clay.
