Hello.

I have recently gotten into the Microscopy hobby, that is using microscopes.

I want to photograph my stuff. There are mobile phone adapters, to allow you to put your mobile phone directly and stably against the lens, but I have something better than that, I have a Cannon EOS Digital Rebel XTI 400D. I want to use that.

I see on Amazon there are adapters for telescopes, and compound microscopes many using 23.3 eye pieces, but I have a stereo microscope using 30mm eye pieces and that I am having trouble finding adapters for.

Here is an example

Does anyone else do this, anyone know what to do, or where to find this type of accessory but for 30mm eye pieces?

I used to do IT work for a medical lab, but ended up assisting with some of the instruments too. Typical microscope setup had a trinocular head, so the stereo eyepieces could used normally while a camera was attached. Typical camera used was not a DSLR, but rather, a small USB device offering live view, such as those sold by Amscope.

Yes, I am aware of the existence of those. However, in interest of saving money and getting good quality, I feel my Cannon 400D would be better. Certainly better camera than any usb eye piece camera I can afford.

"Celestron" does sell a lens mount for the cannon EOS-F models, like mine, and I did find a 30mm T adapter. At long last, so ill probably go with those.
