Front surface mirrors need to be cleaned VERY carefully. They scratch easily. As for the accessory blue filter, once in awhile it's useful for interpreting the effect of yellowish pyro stain on edge definition when printing; but it makes viewing quite dim. You could do the same thing with a decent blue glass filter over the enlarger lens; but in that case, opt for brighter viewing via choice of a less dense blue filter like a common 80A. The same advice applies to helping distinguish actual hues in a color negative from the orange mask density, if you're practiced in reading negative dyes.
