Does anyone have any tips for measuring pyrocat hd developer ? I'm using it with my jobo processor and my chemistry volume is 500ml. The recommended dilution for my film is 1.5+1.5+100 so how much developer would that be so i get 500ml working solution ? around 17ml ? That is how much i used and my negatives came out clear. Any tips and help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Larkis, I use 1:1:150 on much of my development. The easiest way I've found is to divide the amount of developer you need (the water portion) by the dilution, then multiply by the ml of pyrocat needed.

For example, I use 240ml of water for my development tubes. 240 / 150 = 1.6 so I use 240ml of water and 1.6 ml of a & b. tim

If I'm not mistaken the question is about actual measurement - if so, I use an old glass medical syringe, which has a capacity of 5ml, so I get an accurate measurement. You should be able to find some kind of laboratory vessel (like a pipette) to do this.

Walgreen's has small plastic syringe's for giving small children medicine. These are cheap and have worked well for me.

I also use small plastic syringes. I got mine at wally world and they came with little rubber stoppers that stay in the bottle. Pretty neat!
