As part of getting back into the MF area I went down to the locker and re-patriated the old Meopta. Can someone confirm the lamp size that should be in it? I have a #212 in it, but I suspect that may be out of my old Durst.

Any comments on this old beast? My 2 1/4 stuff is pretty primitive, but I am only going to do B/W on it. It does have a filter drawer, a Beslar 3.5/50mm and a Meopa Belar 4.5/75mm. Have not used it on 35mm

Best place for most info on the Meopta is here Alas mine doesn't have any markings on but my manual for my Opemus 5a says:

Tungsram 724 or 721
Narva FA 05 21 03 or FA 05 20 03
Osram 4633 or 4613
Philips PF 605 or PF 603
Thorn P 3/4 or P 3/3

There's some good old names for you  Have fun the Meoptas are wonderful to use.

Migawd, my Meopta is positively archaic. The best way to describe mine (other than the fact it ways it was imported by Anglophoto Ltd) is _round_. Not a square item on it other than an adjustable negative carrier. It's complete and ready to go, but really OLD. Heck, then so am I so it obviously has a few good years left.
