I was recently given a box of old darkroom equipment, in the corner of which was an 'O' level paper from 1979.

I wonder whether anyone here took that exam and if so, whether they still have a copy of their work.

(For younger or foreign readers, 'O' levels were national exams taken in England and Wales at age 16, replaced in about 1988 by GCSEs)

Sigurd, it must have brought back memories. Mine were taken in 1962 and it was all theory and no practical, not even in physics. I wasn't even aware that there was such a subject as Photography available. I suspect that by 1979 "O " levels has moved on by at least a generation

I just unearthed my certificate - AEB from 1977. I don't have the question paper. For that and prior years one had to submit negatives and prints. Later years you could keep negatives, if I remember rightly.

At least I can honestly claim to have _a_ qualification in photography!
