Whitey,

Isn't it great when a little fresh air gets to the brain? (Or a few fumes get exhausted! Either way ...) I'm glad you're back in fine form Whitey.

Regards, Art.

Fine form? Unfortunately, Art. They didn't add anything new. I'm only as good as I was before. Given the possibilities, however, I'll take it.

...technology is moving way too fast anyways...Whitey is a traditional / analog (no upgrades needed) type of guy and might as well stay that way.

I'm in Dedham, MA (home of the oldest woodframe structure in the USA - Fairbanks house, built in 1636)

I knew that....as I've toured it a few times! ...very decorative chamfered beams on the lower level. I live in a town which has the oldest wood frame jailhouse in the US....and the oldest Congregational church bldg in the US....Hey, we should all get together and photograph these places...

To be honest, I've never been inside the Fairbanks House I only drive by it each day (difficult to find a good angle for a photo of the entire house although there are some interesting aspecs, with good lighting, of some sections of the house). I've been inside the Jackson Homestead in my old hometown of Newton, MA., it was a station along the Underground Railroad (the grounds were more photogenic there).

How about a Cambridge-area APUG meet?

...Just need someone to set it up, and we'll be there. I'm thinking another traditional photography event...but in the greater boston area...sponsored by neapug, of course. There must be many more film photogs out there swimming in the sea of digital sharks, looking for support.

Alright, so let's start talking about it: please post here (or post again, if you already did) who is in Boston or nearby, and would be able to meet in the coming weeks. Once we have a list of people, we can agree on a date.

I'll add my name to the list: Colden.

ok, so far Sionnac, Whitey, Ryuji, Bill O, Mike (@magnachrome,) Aldevo, Rob Budding, LizzBartlett, JHannon and Panastasia are close by to boston/cambridge. Since I'm quite nosey, I'd probably want to sit in...to see how things are done in the big city.

I am in Boston most weekends during the school year, so depending on date, I may be there.

Then we have over 15 people who could come.

How about the coming Saturday?

It's 7/7/7.

I personally think it is too early, and this is just a planning meeting...right? I think maybe start a new thread for just this matter and those who don't look because its all old stuff might take a closer look.

healthy again!

Hi everybody. I've been back posting for a while now, but I figured I might take an opportunity to tell folks who know me that I've been given the all clear from my surgeon. I'm free of the cyst that lived in my brain for the last decade or so and pretty much back to n----

... No, we don't use "Whitey" and "normal" in the same thought...

At any rate, thanks to all who wished me well. I firmly believe that the good karma lent me by my family and friends has been responsible for my very rapid recovery.

I also believe that the visit of papagene to my house yesterday triggered this wave of good news. Thanks, Gene.
