I have still got the day free to take part on this outing. Anyone else able to help me with a lift?

Ok Lochlan I will take you up on that.

Many thanks.

I still have room for one more in my car (from the Eastern suburbs) if anyone's interested.

Looking forward to it!

And, hopefully some light, high cirrus clouds or (preferably) a decent cumulonimbus.

Forecast is for winds from the North West. Perfect, as these bring dust down from the Centre. Hopefully, we'll get some colour!

LOL! Nup. I don't want any clouds!
What shall it be? Who's got the ear of the weather Gods? They were oh-so-good to me in South Australia.
For the rise of the Belt of Venus after sunset (ESE), I need no clouds, no dust, no smog, nothing. Just a prrrrrretty scene and time for Pentaximus to play.

But there'sa lot of little things to be done, to be learnt down there long before the sun sets...like a long, languid soak in the rock pools, firefly twirling... hmmm, might even get some photography done...

Come hail, rain, snow or shine, I'll be there.
How's that for commitment?

/Frank....

Hi Guys & Girls ??
I wont be able to make it, Damm. Hope you all have a very happy christmas & new year Cheers Brian.

---------------------------------------------------
Saturday 24th November – TOMORROW
---------------------------------------------------
Rendezvous at Cape Woolamai car park, 3.30pm or walk to the Cape proper (2.4km).
(Though some of us will be hanging around at lunchtime...)

Cape Woolamai Google link: http://goo.gl/maps/2vDbZ
(car park at the end of the road facing beach).

The plan is for at least some of thus/those who are interested, to hang around for sunset and afterglow: both events would enliven the granite of the Pinnacles.

One of us is going to have to do the group shot. Who?

Who's in —

• Poisson Du Jour (Garyh)
• SMBooth (Shane) +?
• Oxleyroad (Andy)
• LJH (Lachlan)
• Mrsmiggins (Frank)
• Jonno888 (TBC)
• YanlukB +1
• ColinD

Extra special weather forecast has been given to us! I've only ever been down there when it was cold, wet and windy, so it's quite the treat this time.
Don't forget to bring film!

I've got Andy and Colin in the car with me.

Given the BOM is predicting a gentle Aussie Sirocco, I might have to pack the big camera. Or the pano for some evening colour. Or both. Hmmm…

Given the 28 degree forecast, I WILL pack a few beers to knock the salt off after the sun's set.

See y'all tomorrow!

I'm packing Pentaximus and Zero the pinhole camera at the moment, plus XA coming along, loaded with Vaudeville Velvia.
Leaving here 8.30 in the morning to rendezvous with Boots.

I am also taking some Efke IR820 in 120 form. This should be interesting...
Can I have a Cascade Light, please. With a Mars Bar on the side.

Hi All.

I'll be biking it down. Looks like a nice day for a ride. I'll also be bringing my Canonet I bought on ebay for 13 bucks and some cheap and nasty Kentmere 100 and 400  Since I don't know any of you by face I guess I'll just look out for a bunch of guys with big camera's

Cheers

I actually think, by whatever means we get down there, we're in for a treat. It can be a dreadful, dreary God-forsaken place in wet, cold and windy weather, and this time — only my fourth visit, for the first time warm to hot and sunny weather! Let's make the most of it!

EDIT: 34 degreasies predicted on 7 News just now, with a cool change developing; I'll be packing some ACROS in case atmospheric skies develop. Ready.

I am looking forward to it

A great time was had by all. The sky did not perform as was hoped, but many fine instruments of image capture were out available for ogling.

Oh and Bob, yabbies or prawns are what are thrown on the barbie. Shrimp are just too small, and too fiddlely to shell.
