Hi all. How does a get-together of APUGgers in Melbourne in early January sound? I suggest we could meet somewhere around Southbank, and then maybe wander around the city for photo opportunities, maybe lunch somewhere and/or a few beers, etc. Who's interested? Any non-Melburnian APUGgers would also be more than welcome if you will be in the area.

So do I. I hope your gallery is going well, and we'll shoot some pics and drink some beers for you.
Best regards,
Kevin

I'd love to come but can I suggest later in January? I'm going to be in the country until the 14th.

John Ford.

I would like to be in this, I'm staying in the country this summer.

Snow in December/January isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Mick.

I'm interested. I'm modifying the Frankenkodak panoramic (again) and Southbank is a good place for testing it.

I'm in, although the venue doesn't do anything for me.
I'll go with the majority but something like the Botanic gardens as a starting point is more my speed.

No comments from you, Graeme!

Okay, so it looks like we have at least a few takers for early Jan, and maybe a few more for later in Jan. Maybe we can do both.

Moi??? Surely you have me confused with someone else! I would never make comments about your bush-walking .....

:D

Melbourne APUG get-together

January has some free time for me, I'd come along, can't say photographing the city does it for me but I'd like to come just to meet some of the Melbourne APUG'ers. David.

I have no definite preferences but since no-one else has suggested a day, how about Sunday 7th January?
!0:00 AM at ...........?

Well looks like it's only you and I Pete, bit of a worry.

I thought I would finally get to meet some of the hordes of members we have in Melbourne.

Mick.

Yeah! It's deathly quiet in here innit! Is any other Melbournian gunna respond? Maybe it's the Southbank thing, they're put off by the expected crowds? If noone else responds we'll have to call it off! I see Mick so often, now the wife is starting to get suspicious.

Sorry, I thought this thread had kind of died, so I'm glad there is at least some interest. I should be fine to join you guys at 10 am on Sunday.

Kevin, looking forward to seeing you. Are you in the latest postcard round, if so I'll bring your postcard along. I don't have any addresses as the file I received from Randy was either corrupt or at least unreadable by me. I'm awaiting a reply from Randy. Mick.

Yep, looking forward to seeing you and Pete too, Mick. Yes, I'm in the postcard round, but haven't printed mine yet. I received both a PM from Randy and an email with the addresses, and can forward both to you.

We just need a place to meet at 10 on Sunday. I only suggested Southbank because it is central, but I'm open to other suggestions...?

I'll check with the social secretary to be sure, but I think 10:00 Sunday will be free.

Great, Paul. Does anybody have ideas on a venue? Something centralish?
We could even do the Melbourne thing and "meet at the clocks"?
