That looks great. It appears that as the film is moving with the cars, the actual background is the same narrow vertical image along the full length of the film.

Many years ago (1978 if I recall correctly) I was working as an assistant to a Sports Illustrated photographer (Heinz Kluetmeier) at a horse race at Belmont in NYC and used a similar set up with a Nikon to shoot the horses crossing the finish line.

Very interesting images in the gallery, but the apparent inconstancy in the film transport motor would drive me crazy! Better with the dark tracks. You can see the vertical lines throughout the photographs.
