The Canon F1 older version is mechanical and has 100% viewfinder. The newest version is not. The F3 isn't mechanical either.

I think there was a Minolta with exchangeable prism..... but probably not 100% mechanical

And the early Leicaflex is candidates too, I think.

What's the prize for coming up with the most cameras?

I don't think those cameras (100% viewfinder) were ever that popular because the most common presentation of photographs is a white border, which of course requires some image overlap (loss) onto the easel blades.

The Nikon F series cameras except may be the F and F2 are not 100% viewfinder accuracy either but I think they are better than 99%. So 97% is not considered to be virtually 100% as in Nikon manual tends to say. I have only owned F2, F3 and F5 and found the viewfinders are accurate but can't verify if they are actually 100%. I never own the Canon and thought that the F1 was 100% accurate. May be the Minolta XK is but then it has an electronically controlled shutter.

When I was shooting macro and copy work, 100% viewfinder coverage was very important to me. The Nikon F, F2, F3, and F4 that I used all had viewfinders that provided the 100% coverage that I needed. Of the four, the F and F2 were mechanical.

However nice the Leicaflex screens/viewfinders may be, they're still not 100% coverage...

Sounds like you'll have to settle with a trade-off which, IMO, is something the practice of photography is full of.

The Pentax LX is mostly mechanical but not 100% either. I have the F, F2 & F3 and used their 100% coverage and they are.
