The shutter of my MEC 16SB just stopped working after I actuated the film advance lever.
Also the film lever is blocked, probably because the camera expects me to take a shot first. But this doesn't work as the shutter is blocked.
I've probably taken 50 shots since I got the camera.

Any ideas if / how this is fixable?

One possibility would be to open the case and observe the mechanics respectively determine whether something is stuck or broken.

Just a thought: has the frame counter reached zero? That locks the advance. I think you can override it, if the counter is wrong, by turning the counter beyond zero.

You are right. I already checked that though. Didn't do anything :/

I am not sure. I could potentially ruin the whole camera. Also I am not a mechanical engineer.
