The Foma Fomabrom VC is a very nice paper. Recommended. Lovely matte surface and (to my eyes at least) a better Dmax compared to Ilford.

Hi, I agree with Jerevan that Foma matt fibre paper is good, with (to my eyes) a better dmax than other matt papers that I've tried. I would say that I've only tried the Fomabrom fixed contrast papers, so can't comment on the VC. BTW, I find that the Fomabrom paper is slightly harder than its contrast grade would suggest eg their "normal" version I'd say is around grade 3/3.5, and that tonally I find it to be on the cool side of neutral. Another advantage is that (if you can find it!) it is usually very competitively priced.
