This series from Peterson's includes six magazine sized books dedicated to Elliot Erwitt, Bert Stern, Paul Fusco, Will McBride, Duane Michals, Annie Leibovitz, Mary Ellen Mark, and Art Kane. I've had these for years and have really cherished them...I studied and enjoyed them frequently when I was taking photography back in college. I'd love to get these into the hands of someone new or just starting out...despite their age they remain very relevant and inspiring. Besides featuring the photography of each artist, they also showcase original proof sheets, working prints, darkroom setups, lighting diagrams and setups, and sometimes the contents of each photographers camera bag...these books really put you inside the head and methodology of each photographer. Each one is about 95-100 pages long and these were publshed back in the mid-70s, when cultural appreciation of photojournalism was still at a high water mark.
