I've just bought the Massive Dev chart iPhone app version 1.4, and am using it on my Ipod Touch. I'm very pleased with it except for one thing - are the sounds/notifications supposed to come out through the iPod itself or just through the headphones? It's annoying if you have to wear headphones the whole time, plus that tick-tick-tick is even more annoying.

Apart from that gripe, it's a nicely done piece of software.

The sounds don't require headphones. They play through the iPod speaker.

Hmm. It doesn't some out of my speakers. Is there a setting I've missed somewhere? When I use the regular iPod timer I hear the bleeps come out of that OK.

On my Touch, you can select whether you want the sounds played thru headphones, or thru speakers, or thru both. It's a general Preference- look in there to select which one you want.

With your headphones unplugged, is the volume turned up using the buttons on the side of the iPod?

The iPod Touch has volume buttons??

I have version 3.1.3, no volume buttons.

Those silver buttons on the left are volume buttons.

DUH! the buttons are black, not silver. I never noticed them. :surprised: Cool! Now I can hear the darned thing when processing, before, I could barely hear a little clicking noise. Thanks for the pointer.

Mine is version 3.1.3 as well, and two black buttons on the upper left hand side, right where your thumb would be when holding it in your left hand, control the volume. The iPod can detect whether you have headphones attached, so the volume level for the iPod's internal speaker can be different from the level with headphones or an external speaker.
