My daughter walking the dogs.

Happy surprise shot from about 70-80 meters away.

Shot taken with my RB 67 & 180mm KL on TXP, developed in DD-X.

Printed 11x14 Adorama pearl MG paper grade 2 in LPD.

Significantly cropped, my LPL enlarger was pushed all the way to the top of the column with a Nikon 50mm f2.8 lens installed.

Looks good. Could have dodge the dogs a little.

Jeff

Thanks. As is normal, the print is better. (My scanner, a D200, tried to "fix it" and I didn't spend a lot of time trying to fix that.)

So who else has portraits?

I've got some at the home computer. I will post them when I get back home. Nice looking portrait, Mark. I agree the added contrast probably doesn't help the display here.

This should be a bit better.

My good friend Sima with her daughter Elsa.

This scan is of the negative, although I have printed it. But I gave the prints to Sima already.... Sorry, the neg scan has some obvious problems. I still like the picture.

It is gorgeous.

It is gorgeous.

Thanks, Mark. I hope to make another print for myself soon. For some reason I've been really drawn to making portraits lately and have been lining them up one after another. It's so much fun, and probably my favorite form of photography.

Here's another of my friend Eunjung and her son Chaylen. I spent a wonderful weekend morning with them and the child was in such a good mood. Since I bring a camera almost anywhere I go, this was very spontaneous. Just the way I like it.

Very interesting portrait. Makes me wonder where you are, and what this guy has been through to get there. Interesting signage too. One on each side of his head...

Taken with a little Olympus miu.

Thanks Thomas. He is an interesting/tragic character. The photo is a very good representation of his less than easy/glamorous life.

The context, including the portrait he's holding, really does beg lots of questions.

Here's one-- good friend and backpacking buddy in Aravaipa Canyon during Sunrise. Sorry about the soft 'scan' but it's a quick snap from my 5x7 work print.

This made me realize that my backup Pentax has a bad backfocus issue... I still like it, though!

That is nice.

Surely, there are others doing portraits...

Come on guys and gals, trying to start a monthly tradition here.

I must admit that even though I make tons of portraits I don't want to undermine the main (?) reason for subscribing APUG...

I am torn, as I'd love to have a more specific way of looking at images in the galleries (like this one), where we could have an ongoing discussion on images within a theme....

But as long as that is not the case....

Absolutely

Got a few coming up. Just haven't processed the film yet.

Love the squirrel, mrred!

Here's a portrait shot in March, from a couple of weeks ago. My friend Aly wanted some portraits, and who am I to decline such a noble wish?

Finally starting to jive with the Canon EOS-3 camera. Here with the 85mm f/1.8 lens, at f/4. This is just a neg scan. Haven't had time to print.
Ilford HP5+ in D76 1+1. Fairly straight scan, adjusting tones in Photoshop CC, spotting, adding a slight warm tone, and a little bit of edge burning is all I did to it.
I forgot my reflector, but think it came out OK.
