Hey everyone,

It's my first time using an RZ67 and I'm hoping I'm just doing something wrong. The last camera body apparently had an electrical component that melted, but it behaved the same way as this one. The camera repairman said it wasn't worth fixing. I got this new body from Japan and the guy swears that he checked it before shipping it out and said everything was working adequately. The mirror seems to be locking up when I fire it. I posted a video link below to help understand. Any suggestions or advice would be great.

Thank you in advance!

Then how do I know how long the shutter stays open for when I do I long exposure? As soon as I fire, it closes and goes black.

Mamiya is advanced in this respect. On a Hassleblad if you want to make a longer exposure you have to hold the shutter release down until the shutter closes. Otherwise the rear blind shutter will close before the lens shutter. RZ is so much fun, get a grip for it.

the rz has the shutter in the lens. all the lenses are leaf shutters. you can shoot up to 1 mins with camera set to bulb. you get a warning the last five secs before it automatically closes. anything longer than 1 min you must your "T" mode on the lens.
