My mamiya rz won't cocking on white dot mode(normal), and I turned the collar to orange dot (emergency mode), and hold the cable release for few seconds. And then The lever works again and I pushed down completely. - I turned the collar again to white dot (normal - electronic shutter). Bang!! I shot the trigger My speed was 1/8,

My question is,

Is my speed still 1/8 OR 1/400?

If it was set to the white dot then it should work at the shutter speed you have set. If it happens again keep us informed, there's a couple of RZ users on here. I hope it's all set now.

Take the film back off and look or you should be able to hear a slight delay. Sounds like the camera isnt cocking the lens, so maybe not even opening the lens. Check the battery. See if you can cock the lens and fire with a cable release on the lens to determine if its a lens or camera issue. The RZ is a bitch of a camera when it wants to be. I have had to take the lens off and manually cock it and reinstall to take a picture with one camera body. Got another body that is more reliable. These were professional cameras that took a beating and some are just worn out.
