Don't most RZ screens already show 6x7 for both horizontal and vertical? The space those two masks "share" in the middle of the 7x7 screens would be 6x6, since the RZ technically is not a 6x7 camera but is instead a 7x7 camera.
At least on the RB67 there are lines already on the screen indicating a 6x6 frame.
I'm getting a 6x6 back and mask so I can create something for you and send it, if you're still interested. After you said this, I triple-checked my viewfinder and found indeed markings which seem to resemble the 6x6 frame - the marks are just on the side of the frame, and you need to imagine a line between them to have the square format. But this could work - so thanks again for pointing this out. A nice full 6x6 frame could be even better, but at least this is a good workaround solution already which I wasn't aware about earlier!
Why not just cut a square of clear acetate or static cling material to fit the screen, and use a sharpie to draw a 6x6 square on it? When i shoot video effects plates, often I have to sketch a layout on static cling vinyl and stick it to a monitor, works great.
