The pressure plate, looks large/normal sized to me (aren't the pressure plates identical for all formats?):

I noticed that there are empty holes for screws, 2 on each side. Maybe this is where the correct (or any other) mask would be / had been attached. My regular 120 back is loaded, so I can't check it on there atm.

edit: I talked to the dealer who sold me my regular back about the 'freak back'. He also told me that he had never heard of a thing like that ever, and he also checked the shop's computer archive on every RZ/RB back they ever sold: nothing even remotely similar.

Thanks for posting the image. No, the pressure plate is the size of the exposure. I have a 6x6 and a 645 back for my RZ (in addition to the 6x7) and the pressure plate is different for each. The aperture of the main housing is also different, serving as the "mask" correlating to the format (6x6, 645, 6x7) being used. Hope this helps!

The Mamiya RB-67 had a 6×3 back. This may be that and put on the wrong camera. Of course, telling you this 4 years later may not be so helpful. …And yes, there is missing mask. Perhaps someone tried to alter the RB-67 back to work with the RZ67 and messed up big time?

Welcome to APUG!

Is the 'RG-67' a typo? I can't find any info on such a model number. The back is definitely not a RB-67 back, as it has the more square corners, RB's are rounded. In either case, I can't find any info on a 6x3 back anywhere. If there is such a beast, I'd love to get one!

You are(maybe) in the possession of the rarest of the rare back for Mamiya RZ67 (or maybe half)!? This is a 56x26mm back specially made for Dutch law enforcement. I have one too  I start looking for pictures; but I think yours missing a 'right' mask?

Apparantly, I'm also in the possession of such a back. I have the same problem as Sewarion with the counter exposure and overlapping images!
What is the name of this back? and is it not possible to change this back to a 6x7 format?

Maybe you can swap it with somebody?
Not sure if this back is really popular?
Being an avid panoramic shooter, I'd be interested in swapping, but the only spare RZ67 back I have is a 220. You can shoot 120 in it, but it won't stop at 10 frames.

The ideal back for panoramic on a 67 is the Bronica 24x70 35mm back, wider, cheaper and easier to process film.

No I really want a 120 6x7 back. But you can buy the back from me if you want?

I know this is a really old thread, but do any of you guys maybe have a lead on one of these panoramic-format backs? Or would part with one of yours? I have been looking for one for a quite a while, but had no luck so far.

thanks in advance

Filippo.

I believe there's a member here. But if not, search on youtube. He has a setup using a modified 220 back which accepts 35mm film and gives you a panorama negative. It's not 120, but it might be helpful until you find an original RZ one.
