I just found this:

Mamiya RB67 Polaroid Film Back w/ P Adapter. Inside looks good, rollers could use a quick cleaning. This film back shows minimal signs of wear, most of it is on the back. Light seals are also starting to wear. Overall this is a great back for your RB67 Camerea.

Will this actually fit my camera? the url for the images say its for a hasselblad.

Well, seen from here, it looks adapted to fit the 6x6cm format, not 6x7...

actually 7x7 to fit either a vertical or horizontal composition

I can confirm that as well. I have a polaroid back as well, its not one of the ones with a "P Adapter" showing on the back but rather its a permenent assembly so it only fits on the back of an RB67. On a sheet of film if fills the entire height but only part of the width (since its like 3-1/4 x 4-1/4) so what you get is a 3-1/4 x 3-1/4 or 7x7 square image. Its because as said above the opening on the back of the RB67 is to acomidate for both vertical and horizontal orientation.

john - the sad thing about that back is that you can´t get any kind of film that fit. had that back aswell for the rb, but you need a newer one, without the p-adapter.

then it works well. polaroid is fantastic..

On a related note, what backs are compatible with either polaroid 600 series or Fuji instant films? I still don't have a polaroid back and keep thinking I should get one, before all the RB stuff is gone, I've already noticed a marked decrease in the available items on ebay and KEH.

I have one rather similar that fits my RB, if you have it I'd try it, you need to remove the correct adopter that your RB should have, always forget how myself.

You probably also need to replace the foam..

thanks guys. i ended up ordering it a couple days after i started this thread. so far, i've shot three boxes of polaroid films though it. one box of polaroid black and white, and two boxes of fuji 100C color. it works pretty flawlessly. although, i kept forgetting to remove the darkslide, because the pro-s backs wont allow me to shoot with it in, but the polaroid back doesnt have that feature.

yeah, and to remove it you just pull the lever at the bottom of the camera.

thanks again.

So, in the end, is Polaroid film available for these backs or not?!?

I have the same back and use fuji instant film in it. Availibility doesn't seem to be a problem.

yes. the polaroid film is widely available for it.

I think that they are wrong about the Hassy thing, either that or they look exactly the same for both RB67 and Hassy.

I was going to warn you about not paying too much, but if you are the one who got it at $30, you did just fine. There are a few on eBay right now that are kind of high, I would wait until something comes along at a more reasonable price. I think that they all use 600 series film, which is still quite easily available.

yess, i got it at 30 dollars. the hasselblad thing threw me off until i looked at their other stuff, and almost all of them had the wrong names.

Polaroid's are still available. Unfortunately, Polaroid just discontinued the production of 665, ISO 80 Polaroid that produces a positive/negative. Leibovitz used that film a lot. I just discovered it like a month ago and am not happy that its not being made anymore...

You should try some before its out of stock!
