Hi. I am new to this site. I have been using Mamiya 645E for about six months after getting sick to death of the cheap tackyness of digital.
Anyway, I've got a Mamiya RB 67 Pro S on the way in the post, from ebay.
The negatives are 6x7 which sounds fantastic, but I can' actually find a store that actually sells these films (preferably Ilford medium format - 6x7 film.) I know this is a basic question but can anyone give me a link to a wholesale place, or just a place I can buy them from. I cant seem to search the web for this product and get results. That would be much appreciated.

Many thanks.

Nicky

The film will be the same as your 645E, assuming that the back that comes with your camera is a 120 back. The film is divided into 10 larger frames, rather than the 15 smaller frames that the 645 gives you.

Good thing this isn't the 1920s, or he would be dealing with two designations for the same film.

This reminds me of when I worked at a local camera store for a time. A customer came in and asked me how many exposures he could one get on a roll of 120. I asked what kind of camera he had. He couldn't tell me and asked what difference it made. I tried to tell him about the different sized negs from different cameras on the same size film, but he didn't understand and screamed at me and said, "All I want to know is how many exposures I get on a roll of 120?" I tried one more time to explain, but he stormed out of the store. I wonder if he ever found out.

Of course Nicky is a great deal more intelligent that the customer I had in the camera store! Good luck with the RB!

I would really hate to try to explain a half frame camera to that customer.
