I've read references about putting a Mamiya Press film back on an RB67.

Looking at photos on EBay, I think I see how this can be accomplished. But, I'd like to verify here. Is it a matter of attaching a Mamiya Press M-Adapter to the Mamiya Press P-Adapter, and then attaching this second adapter to an RB67?

confirmed but there are two M adapters for vertical or horizontal you would leave the P adapter on tbe body and swap M's...

but the free user manual is better than eBay or me f3ir advice.

I've been curious about this too. But putting 2 adapters together? Wouldn't that move the film plane back? How does the distance from the lens to film plane and lens to focusing screen stay the same with stacked adapters? Or am i missing something?

You need only one adapter afaik.
The mamiya press Polaroid backs fit the rb as well - but need the p adapter removed.
Maybe the regular backs need m adapter instead.
Paul Ron might know better.
If not just look up the press module manuals on buktus (butkus?).org

you are correct
you remove the cameras normal revolving adapter
replace it with the P adapter
clip on an M adapter for portrait or landscape
clip on the roll film back
with the P adapter attached you can instead use a Polaroid back in common with the press camera

Ok now I get it. I wasn't thinking of the rotating back and that it was removed to install the M adapter.
