So my mamiya m645 has been working great... Up until now. The top shutter button is stuck down meaning that whenever the film is fully advanced the shutter fires. I was thinking of putting a little bit of silicone lubricant in the hole that the button sits in, any advice?

Don't put silicone lubricant into the camera. Anywhere. Ever.

Beyond that, it's likely that some minor (or non minor) disassembly of the camera body will be required to unstick the shutter release. If you know someone local to you who has experience working on an M645, it would be worth asking them to take a look at it; it might be a common problem with an easy fix. Otherwise, it may be necessary to send the camera off to a qualified repair person or, if you're comfortable doing so, get a service manual and dig into it yourself to look for the trouble.

Either way, though, don't put silicone lubricant into the camera.
