I have the above Mamiya lens and was wondering if the Mamiya ES bayonet mount was the same as their other bayonet mounts such as the SX mount, etc.. I want to adapt the lens to Sony E and M/4/3's also and was wondering which adapter. I'd be shooting wide open aperture so auto stop down is not important. I know many things about other cameras and lenses, but have only had M42 screw mount Mamiya's before. Bayonet mount Mamiya cameras and lenses are all new to me. Help steer me in the right direction. Mamiya made three different bayonet mounts and the ES mount is not compatible with any of them (the SX you mentioned is actually an M42 screw thread). I like the ES lenses and have constructed a mount to use them on my mirrorless camera, don't know if anyone makes an actual adapter for the ES lenses. One issue is that the diaphragm stays wide open unless the stop down lever is moved so if you like shooting wide open, that could work for you.

I found some Mamiya ZE to mirrorless adapters and that's why I wanted to know if the bayonet lugs on the mount were the same for the ZE lenses as they were for the ES lenses. I'll figure out how to get the 55mm f1.4 ES lens on my mirrorless cameras one way or the other. JohnW
