I have one of these backs and no, it isn't a ground glass back. you load the sheet film into special sheet holders and then put the holders into the back. then you pull the dark slide. the next step is to lower the holder to the film plane, then take the photo, lift the holder and put the slide again. it's a bit slow, but it works well. you don't need a ground glass as the sheet sits in the same position as the film. so focussing is as usual.
yes, it only makes sense if you want single sheets. but there is plenty of film that doesn't exist as roll film. so it does make sense.
I would be willing to sell mine, I'm in germany. the snag for the moment is the following: the back is in my french home. I am confined in germany under strict rules. no way to visit france yet. but that will be over in 2 or 3 months...
Oh sorry, didn't know that. Lets hope it stays up!Welcome to Photrio.

Really neat idea, didn't know that was possible. How do you process it? Do you just run it through an Instax camera?I have one for the C330. I also had one when I had the C220 and had to get the C330 version when i upgraded bodies. It's a neat thing that allows you to shoot Instax mini.
it's not me you asked, but I have done it. it's a lot of sleeve work. you put an instax film into a modified holder (sleeve), you expose the photo, you put it back into the instax cartridge (sleeve again). tranfer the cartridge into your instax camera (still inside your sleeve). depending on your instax camera, the photo comes out itself, or you push the button once (still inside your sleeve). and there's your photo, 6x6 format and black margins.Really neat idea, didn't know that was possible. I definitely want to try this if I can ever find one.it's not me you asked, but I have done it. it's a lot of sleeve work. you put an instax film into a modified holder (sleeve), you expose the photo, you put it back into the instax cartridge (sleeve again). tranfer the cartridge into your instax camera (still inside your sleeve). depending on your instax camera, the photo comes out itself, or you push the button once (still inside your sleeve). and there's your photo, 6x6 format and black margins.
Yup, xya is right. The last step of keeping the camera in the dark is optional. I remove the camera and turnon/fire the shutter to eject the frame covering the lens so no light hits film again.I definitely want to try this if I can ever find one.
Very cool! If only it was a C330 single exposure attachmentYup, xya is right. The last step of keeping the camera in the dark is optional. I remove the camera and turnon/fire the shutter to eject the frame covering the lens so no light hits film again.
