I just received a Mamiya C220 in excellent condition. Looking it over I noticed that there is no film speed(ISO) adjustment; unlike my C3 which does have one. Looking at reviews, and also the user manual there's no mention of one that I can find. I realize that one isn't absolutely necessary. I shoot old Kodak folders that don't have one and I do use a light meter(Gossen Luna6), but I do find it kinda....strange; especially when it's present on another model. S0...use the light meter and it works?

Without lightmeter, what is a film speed setting used for?
It's unclear what part of the camera you are expecting to have an ISO adjustment. The Mamiya TLRs don't have a light meter unless you stick a metering prism on them. Do you have one? Some cameras have a film type and speed reminder dial, and I think the Mamiya C3 tlr has one on the left side. This dial doesn't actually adjust anything on the camera. It is for adjusting the photographer.

Hi Joel, do you mean the film speed indicator? None of the Mamiya TLRs have light meters, so changing the number in the display cut out on the C3 doesn't have any affect on the film's exposure, it's just a visual reminder of what film you have loaded. I made a little window with a magnet to attach a 120 box top to my C3 despite that display.
Odd that the newer, improved C220 doesn't provide that indicator, but perhaps they thought showing whether the film was 120 or 220 was enough.

Lol,I forgot the C3 has a film reminder only....I do appreciate the quick responses. Now I'm back on track...thanks.
I like the Gossen Luna SBC for my external light meter. You may want to consider a prism with a built in light meter.
