Mamiya 7II advance issue

Hi Group,I'm new here and would like some information or advise regarding what I think is a recurring problem of late with my Mamiya 7II.

I get 10 exposure but the last exposure always is cut slightly, as the film advances to the end of the reel and slightly beyond (in essence I am running out of film).I develop my own film and know it's the last image (not first) as the image goes right onto the masking tape that attaches film to spool.

It has now happened with 4 rolls in a row (all tmax 400).When loading film I line up correctly with arrow on film ,so I cannot see why all exposures have shifted more towards the end of the film.

Has anybody any suggestions or tests that might reveal what is going wrong here.

With my Bronica RF645 I was getting unequal margins at each end which I cured by winding the film a bit past the marker before closing the back. In your case perhaps stopping the film a bit short of the marker would be a cheap way of solving the problem?

The problem you report is not one that I have encountered with my Mamiya. If the spacing between each frame is equal then stopping a little bit before/after the arrow will be the quick solution. However, if the spacing between frames is irregular you have a more serious problem on your hands and you will need to send the camera to a qualified repairer.

By the way, if one image is hitting the sticky tape then this is the start of the film because the tape is on the end of the film nearest to the take-up spool - therefore you would need to stop the film slightly after the positioning arrow.

Stopping early does sound a solution alright.I will look at some films exposed a few months ago and see if the distance between exposures was smaller.A widening gap between exposures could have the cumulative affect of causing last exposure to run beyond film.
David,I'm slightly confused by the end of your post.Maybe I am misunderstanding your message.The last exposure or the 10th exposure on a roll of film would surely come at the end if the film.The end being where the film is attached to the spool by tape.Am I right?

So what would that mean for my problem.First image is been taken before film has wound to position one fully.
