Hello colleagues
I want to ask, is there a way to set constand aperture closed down(say to f 11) on Mamiya 140mm F-LA macro lens? I want to use it on lensboard, so i want to set it to desired aperture. the aperture preview level on side of batter closes it only when i push it down, but i found no way to close it for permanent.
Also, i got this lens today, and it's new to me, is it supposed to do some noise/click sound when i turn it upside down back and forth? is it ok because of these floating elemetns? I have no other lens that does the clunk sounds when i turn it upside down except this one(except 35mm Sony lenses), but this is my first floating element lens.

in the video at the end i push a little force on this internal barrel of floating element and release. Is this normal behavior? (never had floating element lenses before, just regular ones)

Grab this and thank me later. I would recommend you to send this lens back, because there is nothing inside producing click sound if everything is OK.
It could be the pins of the aperture/shutter control though. You should check it out somehow.

Thank you for the link. So without that device, as i understand, it's not possible to close down aperture constantly, right?

About the sound, it's the sound where the floating element comes out and inside, so i thought it's normal behavior of lens. I attach a video, just to demonstrate that this element probably does the sound.

Exactly. The DoF preview lever bracket is the solution for that.

The lens is definitely broken. Send it back or to repair store. The part of lens is loose.
