Mamiya 645 Prism Options

The light meter on my 1000s prism takes up 1/5 of the frame, making it really annoying to compose shots i.e. I can't see the edge of the frame. Are all the prism viewfinders like this? Do they make them without a meter? Or a meter out of the frame?

I just received a 1000s with meter prism yesterday, but the meter portion isn't as big as you describe yours to be. There are definitely unmetered options out there, as well as the WLF.
