Are you referring to the 7 or both the 7 & 7ii?

I can't recall reading any reported issues with the 7ii before.

I find that surprising. It seems like a common issue, and as mentioned, it has happened to me on multiple occasions (once from impact, the other from me forgetting I had the plate set to 220, and having run through a roll of 120). It applies equally to both the 7 and the 7II. Check with Bob over at PCW for a better explanation, if you're interested in it.
