Does anyone know if copper toner can be split into a two part toner (bleach/redevelop) instead of a direct toner? I don't have Tim's book to reference since I am traveling and I can't find any reference to this on the net. I figure someone here might know or might have tried before.

The tone from a copper toner is produced by copper ferricyanide. The simultaneous action of both the copper salt and the ferricyanide is needed to produce the tone. I have never seen a two step copper toning process, and looking at the usual formulas, it might be impossible. of course, you could always experiment.
