Make your cheap lens look sharp

Please delete this post if this is not the appropriate forum. But here's some software that will fix your "flaws" in your lens during post production for digital photographers. I consider each lens has it's own character not flaws. Why else people spend big bucks in flawed Petzval lenses?

People choose some lens types, like Petzvals or Fisheyes, specifically for their flaws. Can't see why anyone would want to correct the look of those lenses. Normal lenses often have flaws you don't want, like distortion, uneven illumination (especially in wideangle lenses and zooms) and chromatic aberrations. If you shoot digital, you might as well use software to fix those things. The built-in corrections in Photoshop and Lightroom work great, no reason to spend money on additional software.

I don't see any aberrations in my 5x8 Baush & Lomb Tessar.

It must be the perfect lens.

It is the perfect product in this billion-dollar-compamy-town mentlity. One push of a button, SAQUAASCH, and everyone's photos look exactly alike, just like over-processed Solyent Green cakes.

Does perfection really matter? It is impressive the improvement piccure+ can do over your photos, but at least with my film this is exactly what I am trying to avoid.

There are good flaws and bad ones. Chromatic aberration is usually bad, astigmatism on the other hand can look pretty cool. The software should sell, who wouldn't want a £20 Canon to look as good as a Zeiss Otis?
