Picked this up and checked it over. Here's what I know so far:

Shutter speeds seem to be fine. One second fires well as do all other speeds. Camera is pretty darn clean, minus the bottom plate where someone engraved their name. Glass is in fantastic condition.

I put a battery in the camera and the meter responds as it should, so appears to be working fine. I have NOT run a test roll through it yet, so can't vouch for the light seals, but I suspect it will be fine. If I get a chance to run a roll through it I'll update the description to indicate such.

Viewfinder is clean and clear. The brown skin on the camera is pretty slick and looks great. The half case fits like a glove. I may have the other half of the cased somewhere, as the case is something I had at home and didn't come with the camera when I picked it up. If I find the other half, I'll send it with it.

The vintage strap matches very well. However, if you want a solid black one I can switch them out. Heck, if you want a different vintage one I have about 15 of them also to pick from if you like.

Overall, one pretty darn beautiful little camera. Operations are fluid and smooth and operating as they should.I removed the Takumar for pics. The adapter remained on the camera. I wasn't sure how the adapters work, so didn't try to remove.

I have this camera and lens, and, while cruising Youtube, have seen several good videos on how good that lens is, which backs up my experience.

I've used the one I have, as a stopped down lens on Canon F1s n&N, and now Nikon, because of the nice rendering, at about F5.6 - F8, which is different than what the Canon and Nikon lenses give.

I feel the FD Canons are crisper, in b&w and the two Nikon lenses I have An 'E' and an Ai, in that range are colder, while the Pentax 55 is warm and more smooth.

I have no shot colour films with the Nikons or Pentax 55, but it's liked by more than a few, online at least for it's colour rendering.

I am beginning to love M42 lenses, because of the fact alone that there are so many good adapters out there and using a stopped down lens, forces 'depth of field' use, which many new photographers of film cameras do no bother with, only match the arrows or line and circle, and shoot!

Good luck with your sale.

You can just open the back and look at the shutter while firing towards a light source. I'ts at high speeds the capping occurs so see if the shutter fully opens at above 250.
Google "Pentax Shutter Capping" for more info.
Used a bright flashlight and tested at 1/500 and 1/1000 and also 1/250. Each fire shows full lens and appears full opening.
