From time to time I have seen both the 4400 and 4800 tripods by Majestic offered on eBay. In pictures they appear to be identical or almost identical. Can anyone tell me the difference, and which tripod would be better suited to ULF cameras?

I believe the differences may be in the size of the center post--1-1/2" vs. 1-7/8". You could contact Bencher and find out--www.bencher.com.

I tried asking them a question before about their older models, and they weren't able to say much. But I'll try again. And if anyone knows something about this in the meantime, I'm all ears.
