This is a question that needs to be re-asked frequently...

What's a good lab for C-41 120? I'm interested in both develop-only and develop+prints or develop+scan. I do not want scratches, even faint ones. I guess that means I'm looking for well-maintained and operated dip and dunk outfits. Shooting Portra 400, if that matters. Located in the US.

I use this lab for everything but 135 (I have a closer lab for that). They also do optical RA-4 enlargements, if you're in to that sort of thing: http://www.colourworks.com/

NOT dip and dunk so always the potential for a small scratch... Walmart send out service. $0.84 developing only 120 C-41. Anyone that says developing film is getting expensive is smoking crack.

Another vote for NCPS. My premium special occasion stuff goes there. No complaints.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I ended up sending it to Blue Moon, which I'd never heard of despite googling for a while. We'll see how the test roll goes. But keep the recommendations coming--it's only a test roll and I'm sure other people will find this thread valuable asa resource.

Do these sits, particularly The Dark Room, send back the negatives with the CD scans? I would assume so but wanted to make sure...

I use the prepaid mailers for A&I in California. They moved their physical location again. I am very happy with their processing and prints. But their turnaround time is quite pathetic (like 2+ weeks from drop-off to receiving). But sometimes the results are worth it for me.

Yes, I always get back negs from The Darkroom.

... and the turnaround is generally about a week (mailing both ways) but the scans are available on their secure website after a couple of days.
