Hello!

It is getting difficult to get film over here in the Philippines. Would mail-order be an option? I am just wondering about the scanners and other indignities the film must suffer to get here from the USA. Would they damage the film or photo paper?

Thanks.

I know at least one case where film ordererd internationally has been x-ray damaged during transport. Keep in mind there may be various ray-detection systems employed during transport.

But many members here have imported film via retail without problems.
You also might inquire at the exporting retailer of your choice.

Order over from the lomoshop in HK (also on eBay as cliffchuck I think) or from Thailand/Japan - you'll probably get them quite quick.

One thing I have observed is that film coming through from Asian countries comes in quicker and crucially without hassle.

Simon might be able to tell you about any Ilford dealers near to you or the Foma rep here might be able to tell you about their stores.

So far, films have come through without issue. Ditto paper, most here in India have been ordering from either Europe or Thailand/HK/Japan .(this might reduce now that Ilford is going to be directly available here)

Drop me a line if you need more info on which eBay sellers I buy from.

Espasol welcome to APUG

Another good place to order film from is the Dead Link Removed. Their prices are good and the shipping is reasonable, with no handling charges. All procedes go to fund the Film Photography Podcast.

Thank you. Unfortunately the local Ilford distributor is out of stock and it doesn't look like they are replenishing stock any time soon. I would appreciate it if you could tell me your trusted ebay sources.

I also recommend the film photography podcast store! They ship anywhere !

Thank you for all your replies.

Fujifilm is still available. So it looks like I am going to Acros 100 instead Tmax and Tri-x.

Hi,

I live in Malaysia and have ordered film online from the USA. So far all the film I have purchased through those channels seem to be okay. Hope this helps
