Hi all,

I developed recently a roll of film in C41 and I noticed that the control numbers on the edge of the film are magenta. On the same film they used to be dark brown. What does it mean, this magenta color? It's about the color on negative seen on lightbox, not on scan.

ThanksThanks!

It doesn't mean anything other than the manufacturer used a green lightsource when printing the 'edgeprint' stencils.

John S

I thought about that also. But the same magenta cast seems be present over the negative frames (on lightbox, not scan)

Ah.... magenta cast all over..... that's another thing Alain.
Sounds like it's either an old film / poor storage... or a processing fault.

John S

Poot storage - it stayed in the freezer, but it means it could be expired?
Processing fault - it could be this one, but at which stage.. dev, bleach?
