M42 body with spot and aperture priority

I'm searching for an m42 camera body with spot light metering and aperture priority both.
There's one like that? I've find only cameras with only one of this features.

There were a couple of camera bodies which existed back in the 70's which were badged as Mamiya which had the exact spec you are after. I have not seen one for perhaps years so I don't know if there are any still around. Have a look at the link below.

The ES11 didn't have spot metering Ian it was centre weighted.

The Pentax ES/ESII and Chinon made apature prority bodies in 42mm, Chinon was also rebranded under GAF, the Chinon's also have an autowinder, but other than some few older match needle Richos(sp?) I dont know of any 42mm with spot meter. Perhaps Fuji, dont recall and never owened a Fuji 42mm. u

The Chinon CE-3 is a very good aperture priority M42 camera often under-rated, Chinon's were rebadged by many importers in various countries.

I've already an Eos 50e, perfect for my use, but It hasn't microsprism focusing mirror, and I need it with manual focus lenses.

You might want to price a Chinon CE3, I have both the CE3 and CM4, shutters are very good, averageing meter is accurate, screen in bright, I can live without the spot meter, wished they had mirror lock up. The winder is just so so.

The Konica T3 and T4 and the Contax RTS are described in an old almanac of the year 1982 as having a "semispot" light metering.
Mx42 lenses can be adopted to Konica and Contax bayonets with an adapter ring (without lens).

many years ago I had a Chinon CE-3 Memotron. The camera is a stopped down metering aperture priority automat. The mechanical stopping down needs a quite high force on the shutter release button. Therefore I often had pictures which were not sharp due to a movement during the exposure.

Yeah, Mamiya TL/DTL. Here's what I found on Camerapedia:

"The later DTL dual-metering models introduced a switch beside the lens mount which allowed the photographer to select between an averaging meter pattern and a "spot" meter (actually a square area marked at the bottom of the viewfinder), with a viewfinder indication of the mode selected. This was a unique innovation for its day. Interestingly, the single metering mode offered by the TL models was the "spot" mode, not the averaging mode one might expect. Thus it was the Mamiya TL and not Pentax who implemented the original meaning of Pentax's Spotmatic brand."

And the Cosina CSR too. I have a CSL (same but no spot metering). Unfortunately the meter isn't reliable on mine apparently. Both could be turned into aperture-priority autoexposure by means of an accessory mounted on top of the camera. Weird... I have it but didn't try that so far.

I think Excalibur2 has a good idea re: the T90, mainly because I've used my own T90 exactly as he describes. Maybe a Canon A-1 could do the same. Fabulous metering capabilities in the T90.

If using adaptors is ok, then a minolta 9000 from the eighties works ok with m42

What they said. You can get a microprism screen for a T90.
